Elana steps gracefully out of the shadows, her eyes shining with the
brightness of a New Idea.

"Take a look, everyone!" 

Elana gestures over to one side of The Place.  There, unnoticed before, is
a big round oak table surrounded by comfortable chairs.  A sign placed upon
the table says: "Reserved for Wednesday."  Upon closer inspection, the 
acronym "IRC" can be seen inlaid in tiled mosaic fashion in HUGE letters upon
the tabletop.  

Elana grins.   
"Here ye, here ye!  Let it be known to all who will hear that
the Callahans IRC Round Table begins this Wednesday!  Anyone attending will be
treated to FREE drinks of their choice!  No payment is needed for anyone
who takes part of the Wednesday gathering... just bring your Callahanian
self and have fun!"   

To join, just fire up IRC anytime on Wednesday and type: 
/JOIN #callahans 
(your mileage may vary, depending on your net.connection)

Elana shrugs and looks hopeful.
"I am doing this as an experiment.  Hopefully there will be enough folx 
there on Wednesday to make this a success.  Perhaps this will become a 
positive thing... you never know until you try.  I will be there around
7pm my time (USA west coast).  The way I figure it, if enough people
join from around the world, there will be some pretty good chatting going
on around the clock by the time anyone else joins in that day, including me.
Worth a try... and maybe this could become a weekly tradition!  You never 
know..."

A patron pulls at Elana's sleeve and mutters in her ear.  
Elana blinks.
"Oh, the Aussies!!  Hmmm...  what do they do?  Join in on their early Thursday
morning, or start the festivities on late Tuesday, USA time?  AAARRRRGGGHH!!
Just show up if you can, *somehow*.  Please don't confuse my little brain with 
these complicated details!"   Elana looks befuddled and embarrassed.  

"Well, for what any of this is worth to all of you fantastic Callahans folk, 
I hope to see you there on Wednesday."

Elana smiles.
