This work was in the
Application Services Products Unit of the Open Systems Division which delivered
solutions to BULL customers in the areas of Database, Development Tools,
Transaction Processing and Workflow. Worked with large customers to establish
corporate and computing strategies.
Chief Architect of the Bull
Integrated Systems Development (ISD) product set, an open systems,
repository-based application development framework. Strategist, key contributor
to the management of, and provided technical leadership and mentoring for a large scale development effort that
included parallel development in US., UK.and France, with the involvement of
over 50 engineers. Directly managed a team of product architects and designers
responsible for the creation of the product architecture.
Promoted the ISD strategy
internally to management as well as externally to partners, industry analysts,
the press and customers through presentations and publications. Successfully
promoted the ISD strategy to gain market
endorsement of major CASE, hardware and database vendors.
Successfully implemented the
startup of; and transfer of ISD technology to a new company called Transtar in
Europe.
As Director Cameron was also a
key contributor in many business areas including operations, product planning,
marketing and sales.

Key contributor to the overall
direction, architecture and design of an application model and development
strategy oriented towards solving the problems faced by customers developing
and deploying mission critical distributed systems on an open systems platform.
A key objective for this work was the incorporation of existing systems and
technologies into these applications.
Also provided technical
leadership for work with Vista Technology to create an application development
environment based on HyperWeb, an object oriented, hypermedia-based application
development framework similar in concept to the World Wide Web. Supplied
technical requirements and architecture for the development environment and the
hypermedia infrastructure.

Project leader for Core
Technology Team. Charter was redesign of Cortex’s design and application
generation tool for maximum portability, reuse and extensibility.
Responsible for the
redeployment of the DOS workstation tool AIX. Researched and provided
recommendations for repository access, user-interface (Windows, PM, Motif) and
the object oriented client/server architecture.
Jointly developed Cortex five
year product plan. Performed in-depth research and developed prototypes (C, C++
and Smalltalk) in the areas of client/server, object oriented architectures,
GUI and development tool interfaces.
Co-designed and developed the
product components such as report and screen painters, screen resource compiler
and runtime system, server transport
system, template driven C source and documentation generators.

development of a PC-based project control and financial management systems for
architects and engineers.
Designed and developed a (C and
Pascal) portable runtime services layer in order to port the UCSD P-system
